The Different Layers That Make Up Laminate Flooring |
|
Laminate floorings have become very popular in South Africa gaining a considerable market share because of the benefits they can provide.
Many people feel it is wrong to classify a laminate floor as being a wood floor because although the surface appearance can look like any variety of wood - even to the extent of providing a similar feel, there is hardly any wood used in its manufacture. There is, however, a high percentage of wood fibre used in the chipboard or fibreboard core.
This doesn't mean that modern laminate floor coverings are in any way inferior; they can provide an exceptional dimension to any installation particularly as they are now available with the look and texture of various types of natural stone as well.
In fact almost any picture can be replicated with the right decorative layer if the demand is strong enough.
