| Under Tile Heating |
|
The Under-tile heating system consists of heating wires (1 to 1,5mm in diameter), which, once installed do not alter the level of the floor. This is particularly useful and important when carpets are removed and the floor is covered with tiles. These heating cables are insulated with a fluorocarbon and/or heating-resistant polymers, giving them an exceptional mechanical strength and heating resistance capabilities (up to 120 degrees C), ensuring lifetime durability. This undertile heating system has been designed to cover approximately 50% of the floor surface. This means that if a living room measures 20m square, the heater will cover approximately 50% of this area (9 to 10m square). This is simply done by placing the heating pad in the centre of the room and away from the edges of the walls. Because we hand-lay the wires, the system allows us to place the heaters in strategic spots, i.e. around a snooker table, a U-shaped passageway, a quarter-round bath, etc. In bedrooms, bathrooms, or areas where people are most likely to walk barefoot, the heaters are fully spread to prevent cold spots, which are so unpleasant. Once the position has been selected and the underfloor heating cables installed with our special spacers, a mixture of quick-drying screed is poured over it, which serves two purposes, i.e. protects the cable from possible damage caused during the tiling work and total embedding of the heating cable, ensuring perfect heat conductivity. The total thickness of the finished job is less than 4mm, a value that is spectacular. Because of the very close contact between the element and the tiles, the heat response is very fast. Warmth can be felt within 30 minutes of switching the heater on. Subsequently, running costs are kept to a minimum. Quick-acting thermostats add to the sophistication of the system. All thermostats carry a 1 (one) year guarantee. All heating systems carry a 5 (five) year guarantee. |
