Under Wood Heating PDF Print E-mail
Under-wood heating consists of the same system as Under-tile heating, with the main exceptions being 3 major differences:

  • The first difference being that the heating element must be laid wall-to-wall for even heat distribution across the timber floors.

  • The second difference being that a second layer of screed is applied to ensure extra smooth substrate floor, to ensure timber floors fit accurately  on a level surface.

  • The third difference being that a floor sensor probe thermostat is used for  Under-wood heating to regulate the heating on the the floor temperature and not the room temperature as used in Under-carpet and Under-tile heating.

underwood heatingManufacturers of Laminate Wooden Flooring prohibit more than  28% penetrating the timber floor from underneath which plays a huge factor in the expansion and contraction of timber floors.

These factors ultimately will make this form of heating more expensive and slightly less effective than the Under-carpet and Under-tile heating.

All thermostats carry a 1 (one) year guarantee.

All heating systems carry a 5 (five) year guarantee.
